Revainrating 3 out of 5

After 6 months of almost daily use

When I first received this I didn't like it. It worked horribly in bed and I couldn't find a good way to use it. The legs didn't stay where I wanted, I couldn't leave him on my bed when I wasn't there (legs up) as he would fall. I couldn't easily maneuver (stand up, put the table on the floor to do something) because my feet never landed straight - I dropped my laptop several times. It was only pain. It has not been used for 4 months. Then in July I was forced to use it as I couldn't sit at a regular desktop. I've stopped using it in bed and put it on a chair (although I'm sure a chair/sofa etc would work just as well). I liked it there. The only problem I had was that my legs buckled when I tried to move and put it on. I figured out how to deal with it and it worked pretty well for me and I got it working. Then a little over a month and a half later (daily use) it started falling apart. The pins holding the bottoms of the legs together ALWAYS popped out. Tried to glue it with carpenter's glue, didn't help. Then a combination of nuts and bold began to appear, keeping feet on the table. It was extremely uncomfortable. Despite these fairly serious issues, he was still in great shape. I decided to fix it myself. I took it out and put in screws to hold the dowels (lower crossbar of the legs) and then removed the pivot screws that they used to connect it to the table and used a nut and bolt in each place. The result is a MUCH more durable and less frustrating product. Since then I've been using it every day for 5 months. A couple of notes - the drawer is useless unless you want to put a pen in it. I completely ignore it and don't use it. It holds my large laptop easily and it never feels unsafe to tip it. In the end it's a decent product and one of the few I've found that can handle a large laptop.
