My little one learned to walk in the summer when she was barefoot, when it was time to go to different places and wear shoes for the first time , she HATED it. Screaming, crying, it seemed like we were torturing them. I suspect that she is sensitive and was also afraid that she would not be able to move as well in shoes. We put them on her and she walked like a dog when you put shoes on and then she fell down screaming. This is the first shoe she has ever worn! We would go to the playground and I would let her play barefoot for a bit and then when she was comfortable I would put these shoes on and she just kept walking! Pretty soon they outgrew them and we switched to Striderite Srtech but my goodness they were priceless as a first shoe!
