I use it to protect the interior when moving and transporting items that could be damaged. I love the left, center and right cushions that slide over the seat and hold it in place. It fits well on my 2006 Nissan Sentra although I haven't used all the elastic straps that came with it yet. I'm thinking of not using them so I can uninstall and reinstall much faster. I think those elastic straps are a bonus. This profile offers excellent coverage, especially on side tabs, and the material is very durable. Adjustable buckle straps allow for quick on and off. My back seat doesn't have headrests to wrap those straps around. So I attached Velcro cable ties to the rear child seat mounts and then to the buckle straps. I am very happy with this protection.
