Review on 🐱 Delicious Purina Fancy Feast Sliced & Marinated Morsels Feast in Gravy Wet Cat Food for Feline Fanciers by Mary Maybank

My cat's favorite treat is pickled turkey pieces

My cat is on a somewhat restricted diet due to feline IBD. We managed it well with medication and mainly a seafood diet. However, too much seafood sometimes makes them constipated. We tried several other protein sources and found that turkey didn't irritate the gut. She loves the taste of this product, so we gave her Fancy Feast marinated turkey cuts once or twice a day and found that this helped reduce or eliminate her constipation (along with switching to tastier turkey cuts). feast on the gravy first and maybe eat some turkey cuts and then go. If we just stack the turkey chunks in the middle of the bowl and offer them to her after a few minutes, she will swallow them and empty the bowl. Once we figure that out, we're almost always left with a clean bowl. Actually I think it's a pretty decent cat food. It's cheaper than boutique brands but better than budget brands. Given the quality and price per ounce I think it's middle of the road - neither great nor terrible. Looking at the nutritional content, it covers all of the essential amino acids for cats and has plenty of calories (about 20 calories per ounce). It contains poultry by-products and wheat gluten as one of the top 5 ingredients, so it's a bit of a concern when it's a mainstream cat food. This probably isn't a bad thing for most cats, but it made me hesitant at first. But as an occasional treat my cat is fine munching it - she had no side effects from the addition of the fillers and I think they helped by softening her stools. She REALLY REALLY likes the taste, which is also a big plus when her appetite fluctuates a bit (a side effect of her medication). All the neighborhood cats seem to enjoy it (even if they eat the fish first).
