I ordered this product because (3) local hardware stores didn't have the right length. This product is just what you need to ensure your Proslide Sulky "skid bar" throttle does not come off. The problem I have is that the manufacturer provides a bolt (exactly the same) to connect the gas strut to the Proslide Sulky mount on the car, which is too short. The bolt provided by the manufacturer gave me about 1/8 inch thread to connect the gas spring to the bracket and tighten the nut on the back. This poses a problem because the vibrations of inflation move across the ground as hard as it really is. The smaller screw actually drilled a hole in the mount and created a lot of play when inflating itself. Eventually, this extra play created by drilling a hole in the bracket through the bolt allowed the nut to unscrew and separate the gas shock from the car! By installing this longer bolt, you have additional threads to properly tighten the gas strut, which eliminates extra play and movement of the yoke when cutting grass. Hope that helps.
