Although the price of this Sony wireless headset is higher than conventional devices, it costs a few euros more. It is well made and carefully packaged. Although I haven't run out of batteries (NmH) yet, this continued through several 12-16 hour marathon video sessions. The sound is excellent, we recommend turning the headset volume down to 2 or 3 (out of 10) and adjusting the volume using the TV or stereo volume controls for the best sound quality. In terms of range, it reaches my entire apartment and even allows me to continue listening while walking to the mailbox, about 50 meters. It comes with about 6 feet of 3.5mm stereo cable and some 3.5mm to RCA adapters if you need them. Power is supplied by a small wall transformer which supplies DC power to the base/charger and the transformer comes with a US (flat pin) adapter already connected to the European (round pin) plug. The headphones are lightweight and offer full coverage, with controls for on/off, volume, frequency select and frequency search.
