Bright with 9v input

Used as a simple indicator for garage door open status. Have several garage doors that were never wired into the alarm system and needed to know the status without going out to check them. Simple alarm reed switch with the LED and an old transformer from an old wireless phone - works perfectly.I had never worked with LED before and did not realize they are polarity sensitive, but figured it out. Very happy with the result.
