The plastic that connects cables from USB to cables that plug into a factory 12v socket doesn't represent the best connection. Communication is intermittent, at least on the one sent to me. The solution was simple enough, cut out the socket and solder the wires together. After that everything went great. I wasn't a fan of the green LED either. Especially since it only showed green light on 1 USB port, the 2nd USB LED didn't go through the 2nd port. I just plugged in a flathead screwdriver and pressed the green LEDs to disconnect and turned off the light, it was pretty easy. There's fast charging, which is important. Now both drivers and passengers can charge their Samsung Galaxy quickly and easily.
