Great for overnight/day naps

I work long night shifts and sleep during the day. I used blackout drapes and an eye mask but it still didn't block all the light so my sleep was light and easily disturbed. I'll provide more details on which tent bed I bought below, as well as tips for other night workers. I bought this black tent bed and it was a complete game changer; I wish I had bought this years ago! I still use an eye mask although it's not really necessary as the tent blocks most of the sunlight. I feel sleepy as soon as I climb into bed, fall asleep easily and don't wake up at all. I have recommended it to my colleagues who, like me, feel half dead. They noticed that I felt better and had more energy, so they took an interest in the tent too. An unexpected bonus is that it filters the light so well I can leave my blackout curtains open for my plants! They are enjoying all the sunshine and are thriving. My cat also has an odd attraction to the tent; he settled there comfortably, as if it were a small, safe cave. I've never seen him so relaxed (although because he's black he just disappears into nothingness inside, I just see big eyes peering out from the darkness of the tent) and often hear faint trills of contentment from within. I'm an adult using a kids loft bed (hooray for tiny apartments) so I bought a twin sized tent bed. It fits perfectly on the attic frame and my double XL mattress has flattened a bit but still fits in well. I'm 5ft 4" and when I'm in the tent there's about 2-3" of space between my head and the top, although the thickness of your mattress will also make a difference (mine is 6").
