Flyboys FB3316BLK - Dual-Function Reversible Kneeboard with Clipboard in Black Review

I used it while working on my private pilot license. My flight instructor's husband flies an F-35 and said he uses it. I was wondering how it would work for general aviation, but I liked it. A simple safe place for notepad paper, pen/pencil storage for flight notes etc and a phone. It was wonderful.

I have no problems with the product. Works as intended and well finished. At the time of purchase I didn't think I would receive a tablet but I did. I solved the "no tablet slot" problem by adding velcro to the device. Ideal for 8 inch tablets. Just one more weird thing - this little bag. I'm not sure what to use it for as it definitely won't fit in every modern mobile phone. I wish there was room for a modern cell phone in this device.

This is the fourth and absolutely best knee pad I have ever had. It's well constructed and feels premium. It looks like it was designed by a pilot. Accessories are removable, others can be ordered from Flyboy so you can customize them to suit your needs. The only drawback is that the reversible model is only available in black. I would prefer olive green to match my uniform.

What a great knee brace! It even works in the relatively compact cockpit of my DA20. Other knee pads I've tried get in the way of the stick or just spread out too much. Because this sheet is reversible, I can open my checklist pages to the right and not get in the way of the stick. Also, I have to say I'm impressed with Flyboys as a company. There was a selection error with my order and they did their best to fix it! Bravo!

As an Evektor Sportstar LSA student pilot, I quickly recognized the need for a knee brace. I need something for field testing as well as something useful when I drive and it fits very well. It closes really well and the Velcro works great too. I have purchased other accessories with velcro separately from the manufacturer and they are also good quality and the velcro is great. It's a lot of stuff, and with the belt loop it gets a little bulky and a bit unwieldy at times, but it seems to work well, maybe better if you're taller (I'm about 5.5ft).
