I love this sun deck! I wanted to buy some toys to fill the large cage I bought for my cockatiels and kennels and luckily I stumbled upon this sundeck! What a fantastic idea, better than the wooden ones I've been buying for years, they don't last long and are very difficult to clean. The reviews also looked very promising and as they were positive I decided to buy 2 just to see how they look and how they fit in the cage. Most of all, my birds will like and use this item. They were very fond of ledges and really sat on them. They really like to sleep on it. So I had to buy a few more and now I have 7. I bought these bars 6 months ago and they still work! The best leash I've bought so far! I got them at the perfect time, we had new baby cockatiels just learning to move around the cage and this head start was very helpful to them. My birds have a very large cage and there are many places in it where sun terraces have been ideal for them. I also placed 2 of them outside the cage so they can hang around when outside. They are very easy to install, there are no screws, just put them on the cage's wires, hang them up and you're done. To secure the sundecks I simply added two zip ties, one on each side, and I didn't have to worry about them falling off in the middle of the night. Cockatiels under a year old have, any movement at night gives them night terrors, and my conure has been known to knock over anything that isn't bolted! LAUGH OUT LOUD! So just wanted to make a recommendation on zip ties in case sundecks aren't that secure in someone's cage. When I clean her cage, I just cut the zip ties, soak the decks in the sink, and then reattach them. These terraces are very easy to maintain and look like new after drying. I also use a bird safe cleaner called Poop-Off that cleans their toys and twigs really well. In 6 months the sundecks have not flaked, chipped or cracked which is great when 14 birds are using them. It's fantastic because none of the decking I've had before has ever lasted that long. This is an item I would recommend to any bird owner considering purchasing this item.
