Saved this to prepare for returning to the office during the pandemic. Ventilation seems to play a big part in safety when working indoors, and a HEPA air filter is recommended in situations where outside airflow cannot be increased to maximize air exchange. My office has no windows that open and although the building has been upgraded with filters as suggested, this is an extra layer of security for my personal workspace. Despite its size, it's incredibly light and completely silent most of the time. The fan turns on when pollutants are detected (more on that later) until air quality returns to safe levels. The filters looked real, and while the manual was difficult to follow, it really only took a bit of trial and error to figure out how the thing worked. Perhaps the unintended highlight of this thing is that it's an amazing flatulence detector. Let my kids know that when they hum near this machine, it immediately registers the change in air composition and starts the fan. They quickly discovered that they could use the machine to rate annoying bloating and that the air quality indicator had peaked at 300 (they were thrilled when they finally got such a stinky wind that big red 300s appeared on the screen ). I had it. Installed in my home office to test it out before moving it to my real office, and the kids will be running over there to let their breath out and see their "bills". It was hysterical and I have to admit the whole family was amazed - the plus is that no matter how dirty the anger was released, this filter quickly neutralized it so the lingering smell was only a short term inconvenience. My home office faces the street, and with the home office window open, the measured air quality was significantly different during times of the day when there was no traffic than during times of day when cars and vans regularly drove by.
