EXTREMELY dark, very difficult to read! Even with a brand new battery, you'll need to angle a flashlight to read the numbers. For the price paid I expected more. I have to open the tank and hold a sheet of paper or paper towel behind it to see the numbers. This company's customer service is non-existent as I sent two messages with no reply. Sometimes it shows numbers, sometimes it's blank. I definitely think anyone wanting to use this for a reptile tank that maintains high humidity levels should refrain from using it. Don't waste your money or time.
