Review on Efficient and Stylish: BLACK+DECKER 1.7L Cordless Silver Kettle, KE2000SD by Karen Watson

I bought this to replace the previous model which we had for over 8 years and used several times a day. We were sad to see this because it worked so well. So I ordered the same make and model based on the results of a previous purchase. This takes up the same amount of countertop space and heats the same amount of water, which takes a little longer to boil. It turns out that this model also uses a much thinner metal for the case. Our previous model was heated outside. On the outside, this one gets hot enough to give you a nasty burn. My finger slipped off the plastic handle and I almost dropped the full kettle when I burned my finger. I hadn't expected that given the safety of the previous model. It's sad to see a good brand move towards cheaper. Not the same quality. I will not buy again.
