Very nice. I am very happy with the coat clips. They have a soft plastic to protect the wood. I ordered the brass color and they look great. Note: My mantel is down. That's what I thought about what they would do. at the bottom. I didn't think they would fit, but after reading many reviews and questions and answers I figured it would work. They fit very well and my kids are happy their stockings are hanging and no more pins.
