Review on ๐Ÿพ Zampa Airline Approved Pet Carrier: Travel in Style with Low Profile Tote, Removable Pad, and Premium Zippers for Cats and Small Dogs by Michael Long

Strong plastic smell. Great for a quick trip to the vet, but I wouldn't use it for longer trips.

For our purpose of getting the cat to the vet quickly, it was great. I would use something else for longer trips though. We have these and the Bergan Comfort Soft-Sided Pet Carrier: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003M5ZDX4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1 Here's how I would compare the two: Price: Zampa - Winner ( about half the cost). Size and shape: quite comparable. Our cats weigh approximately 12 pounds and we can only carry one cat at a time. They're pretty tight, which was good in our case. Materials: Zampa smells very strongly of plastic, Bergan doesn't. Also, the Bergan has a nice removable fleece bed, while the Zampa has a plastic-coated removable floor, which is slippery and not very pleasant to the touch (we solved this by putting a towel on it). Durability: hard to say. You only see occasional usage. I assume that Bergan will be more durable. Convenience: Both fold compactly for storage. In addition to the carrying straps, both have a detachable, padded shoulder strap. Bottom line: If you think you're going to use your carrier a lot, or you really don't like the smell of plastic, I'd go for Bergan. Otherwise a decent option for half the price.
