The price was fair. The problem is that the cable I put in my car was slightly "pinched" when scraped against another object next to my console and the white insulating sleeve had ripped off part of the cable, causing the "real cables" was exposed underneath. I received the product two days ago. The protective case should be the minimum they can get away with, that's my only conclusion. So far no loading errors on any iPhone. This used to be an issue with non-MiFi certified charging cables. In the first picture, the cable is connected to a separately available charging box. The 2nd picture only shows the charging cable. I've included several Roku remotes in both photos to give you an idea of the length of the cord.
