I've been looking for a similar solution for a long time, it was available but only through strange distribution channels. I was happy to see that this is readily available at Revain. I mainly shoot at night, and when I'm shooting in the city with wide-angle lenses, strong streetlights are always dazzling, even when they're not in the frame. I just used this for a night shot to capture the city's runway tracks (see uploaded image) and the shadow was very successful in preventing most glare, but it can be flipped to the side or close to the camera body to be outside of the away when not needed. Very well made high quality gooseneck, preferably stiff to hold the shade in place but still flexible enough to cover both sides and the top of most but the longest lenses. One star down because I wish the gooseneck was a bit longer to cover longer lens barrels and also reach under the lens - when shooting straight up into the sky the underside is just as prone to flare as the top. Nevertheless, a highly recommended solution!
