I may be lucky but my motor runs well, the pedal speed control works well and although the quality of the fork could be better it also works well. No cutouts. There is no hesitation. No overheating. Everything is assembled correctly. I used the motor to build a standalone winder for my wife. Very easy . board, winder and motor. It works fine too. This required some adjustments. The tension washers had to be polished. The spool spindle had to be wedged wider. I had to adjust the position of the pulley. Finally, positioning the motor on the existing mount was awkward, although I was willing to fabricate one if needed. I considered turning the engine over but decided it would be best not to open it up. Almost fine with the usual details. As expected, this is a good engine for the money.
