Review on Norpro Stainless Steel Piece Fondue by Mark Adlesh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thick cast iron and sturdy stand

Great product. Bought for a hot oil fondue and due to the very hot contents wanted a heavy pan to hold the heat and a sturdy stand. On both it met my expectations. It's very strong, thick enough to hold heat on the table for efficient frying, and the stand is solid and sturdy. There's also plenty of room on the stand to fill the burner if needed, which was a downside for some of the other pots I looked at. One note: if you plan to use it for hot oil fondue, I suggest you heat the oil (peanut oil is best due to its high smoke point) in the pot itself in the oven, starting on a low flame and increasing to high after about ten minutes. . This not only heats the oil, but also the container. For three the eater kept warm for 30-40 minutes.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
