Didn't measure but should have. He is big and tall. I got it on my bed mainly for eating. I'm not tall, maybe that's why. But it's still better than eating on your knees! And it has a long notch at the top for your phone or tablet. Love it, just wish I could have gotten a little shorter. I'm 4'11. I keep it. Prime day deal so I think it's a good buy. Easy to clean, lightweight and foldable.
