Review on 🌱 Environmentally-Friendly 12 oz Clear Cold Cups - 50 Pack, Disposable, Plant Based, 100% Compostable by Kevin Staniszewski

I definitely appreciate what this company is trying to do, but I feel like the product isn't quite ready yet. I ordered two packs of these mugs along with compostable plates and BBQ supplies for my husband's birthday last weekend. I was so determined not to have bags and bags of non-biodegradable junk we usually have after these things! I was really excited about the mugs as we buy tons of Solo mugs at every party at our house! The mugs came and looked great. I put them on the table along with other things to prepare for the start of the party. It was a hot day. Guests were in no hurry to show up, and when they arrived the outside temperature was about 85°F. They rushed to drink and opened the cups. I was pleased. About an hour later I noticed these misshapen cups everywhere and one of my guests came up with one in hand. I looked at a bag of these mugs and realized they were melting! In the bag! Many were fused together, so the second package was also opened by a guest who decided to have a drink! Lol I looked around the patio and around the house and was horrified to see everyone drinking from melted mugs! It was hilarious and ridiculous to say the least. I asked someone to bring me some Solo cups right away. Nobody should try to drink from a melted cup. Lolol Either way they need some work on this product or just TELL us upstairs these mugs are going to melt in the sun!
