Do not stick to the assembly sequence!
If I followed the assembly sequence according to the instructions, assembly would be almost impossible! The instructions say to install the bottom shelf on 4 legs and then install the top one! That does not work! It's much easier to put the legs up and leave the screws loose, then install the shelf and tighten the screws after the shelf is attached! But I love the table... just not the assembly instructions!
