This is my first purchase of a silicone straw and the size was my biggest concern. I didn't want to feel like I was drinking water from a plastic tube. I am happy to report that they are the same size as a Sonic straw. They can be a little larger than the average straw, but not so much that it gets in the way. I put the sonic straw and the silicone straw back to back. The silicone tube could be maybe a mm bigger. Haven't used them yet but will come back in a few months and update my review. Edit: Ok, it's been 2 years. I love these straws. We use them every day. Perfect size and they haven't shown any wear so longevity is great.
