These speakers look better than they sound. I recommend connecting a subwoofer. Although they sounded a bit bass-heavy before using the subwoofer, everything seemed to balance out in the sound. Attention, it's only 25 watts per speaker. While it's not THAT important, I use a 75 watt receiver per channel and I feel like turning them on too hard will distort them badly. I've been looking for a low power receiver or amp to get the best sound out of it for a long time, but they're hard to find with an A/B channel and a subwoofer output. Looking back I feel I could have found better speakers for the same price but they will work fine until I can afford audiophile speakers.
