Surround matching side/rear speakers

I'm very happy with it as a side surround speaker. I have very powerful bookshelf speakers (EPOS ELS3) front and center and a great subwoofer and overhead speakers (5.1.2 setting for Dolby ATMOS). As side-mounted surround speakers, they sound great along with the entire system, at volumes high enough to hurt my ears and vibrate the floor. I was willing to upgrade to high end speakers if they didn't fit, but they do the job so well I'll stick with them.

Clear sound and accurate vinyl playback

Incredible sound from these tiny bookshelf speakers. I paired it with an Onkyo phono stage, a Sony belt drive turntable and a Polk Audio 10" subwoofer and I love it. We put them in a really big room with 10 foot ceilings and they still sound great. These little edifiers are a replacement for my handmade Cambridge Soundworks bookshelf speakers that I paid $1,000 for ten years ago. Okay, so Edifiers aren't a perfect replacement for the $1,000 CS speakers, they're a good alternative at 1/0 the…

Good bookshelves for the price.

I was very surprised when I first heard these speakers. First, when you open the package, they are not flimsy, but rather strong and beautiful. I plugged them into a mini amp, hooked up a turntable and cassette deck to the amp, and was rewarded with beautiful, detailed sound and surprisingly good bass. Even if they are not on the floor due to the low sound waves, the sound is still good with rich but not thick bass. They're a great buy for everyone, but they really bring my analog recordings to

Very good speakers for 20 watts (p12)

I bought a pair of p12s edifier speakers. They are powered by a Yamaha micro receiver. It's 15 watts x 2, the speakers are 20 x 2 so I don't stress them too much. The sound is clear with no interference or distortion. My taste in music ranges from classical to hardcore. You practice every day for at least 2 hours at 3/4 volume or even better sound. No problem. At low volume, it's still clear and audible. No questions. I've had them for 2 months or so. The cabinets have beautiful lines and…

Great little quality speakers

Bought these passive speakers for my Korg weighted number pad. I use an amplifier but my old speakers (25 years old) were cracking and I wanted a decent sound. I didn't need a deafening volume, but I wanted a quality sound that would reflect the dynamics of the piano and other keyboard tones. These small (beefy) speakers arrived today. They were easy to set up, with quality speaker wire already stripped and ready to plug in. The sound quality is excellent. Everything is balanced. Definitely…

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Minor issues

These speakers look better than they sound. I recommend connecting a subwoofer. Although they sounded a bit bass-heavy before using the subwoofer, everything seemed to balance out in the sound. Attention, it's only 25 watts per speaker. While it's not THAT important, I use a 75 watt receiver per channel and I feel like turning them on too hard will distort them badly. I've been looking for a low power receiver or amp to get the best sound out of it for a long time, but they're hard to find with

  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Nothing

Another lesson in false economics.

They were only for the office. Not like a cathedral square. They just had to sound reasonably decent and fill a small area. At just over $70 I wasn't expecting much, but the reviews lead me to believe that it performs quite a bit better than the price. That's absolutely not true. They sound exactly like a $70 pair of speakers. bass dominates. Dirty, thick lump of trouble. The only good thing about the bass is that it takes you away from the total lack of a pronounced midrange. It's just soup…

Stylish looks, good size, good sound

These Edifier speakers have a very nice solid design. The lighter wood texture along with the gray accents/grilles give it a nice modern look (a nice change from regular black speakers). They're not big and intrusive, but performance is decent for their size. They are quite expensive for their size compared to some Polks or other brands that even come with a larger tweeter and woofer. Most of my other speakers are pluggable, so my ears are used to their brighter tones. These Edifier speakers…
