They were only for the office. Not like a cathedral square. They just had to sound reasonably decent and fill a small area. At just over $70 I wasn't expecting much, but the reviews lead me to believe that it performs quite a bit better than the price. That's absolutely not true. They sound exactly like a $70 pair of speakers. bass dominates. Dirty, thick lump of trouble. The only good thing about the bass is that it takes you away from the total lack of a pronounced midrange. It's just soup. And then there are the harsh, sizzling high frequencies. All in all not a pleasant listening experience. Will keep unplugging them to see if they magically break over the next few days but I suspect not. On the other hand, they look very nice. Maybe I'll leave them as bookends?
