Adorable collars but not quite detachable

We love to dress our two cats in adorable collars. We spoil our cats and of course make sure they fit properly on their necks etc. These are very cute collars but this morning the pink almost killed my cat. She tried to get out but it got stuck in her jaw and she choked on it. Thank goodness my son came over to pet her and realized she was choking. My husband tried to check the "separation" of the collar and couldn't even tell. Please be careful with them, if my son didn't come to cuddle our cat she might die.
