Review on ๐Ÿš™ Timbren GMRTT35D Suspension Upgrade Kit by Mike Travers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to install, no maintenance, best suspension and perfect ride height.

I came across these as an alternative to airbags. I really wanted something easier to maintain and install. Airbags seem to be an ongoing requirement as they must always contain air. So you really need an onboard compressor, which is even more of a hassle. After reviewing them, I found that Timbren recommends this heavy-duty version for the slip campers I own. On my 2018 Silverado 3500HD, I just popped the flathead into the slots in the stock bumper, gave it a little nudge, and it popped right out. I lubricated them with water based gel and partially installed them in the bumper housing. I then placed a 2x4 between them and the axle. Raise the axle until the timbre is fully seated. Please note that it will take quite a while to sit down as I completely lifted the wheel off the ground before fully sitting down. Our 2008 Lance 971 has a dry weight of 4,100 pounds. My truck is on the same level as the camper. Walking down the street the rocking still feels too soft for me. However, the suspension actually feels better than when it's unloaded. Even without a load, I don't notice any additional sharpness. Given the lack of maintenance, I am satisfied with the purchase.
