Was very excited to see the extender's performance after going through the easy to use setup. It worked surprisingly quickly. For a couple of hours. After that, the internet got disconnected and I couldn't access any websites. I rebooted my entire system - cable modem, cable router and Linksys extender. He went back to work. I thought this would solve the problem. There is no such happiness. After a few hours I could no longer access the internet. I called Linksys Technical Support. The tech instructed me not to use a surge protector on my wired router and to plug it straight into the wall. I had little faith that it would help, but I listened anyway. The technician walked me through the installation process again, confirmed internet access and said my issue was resolved and that if it persists, I should call back. Glad it happened a few hours later. I called Linksys again and this person seemed more competent but still couldn't resolve my issue. She reset the dilator and again told me my problem was solved. I was not convinced and told the technician that this was not a solution. Very disappointed with the product and the poor diagnostic tools available.
