We were looking for unique toys that weren't just throwaway junk for a first grader's birthday party. They fit the bill (along with other unique toys). This is the size of what most people would call a "big" beach ball - if you're imagining something the size of an egg, but round and irregular, that's about it. The choice of colors (after buying two sets) was wide, both for boys and girls. The balls are hard but bouncy balls of this size - you're just not used to seeing rock shaped balls. They bounce around unpredictably, much to the delight of children and some parents' dismay - playing indoors near windows is a bad idea, but outside in the playground is great fun for everyone as groups of children try to chase it down . . The children's parents also thought it was great and unique.
