January 2020 bought the first of three burners, liked it immediately, heats up quickly, easy to clean, even cooks, has a timer, soup mode that changes burner temperatures automatically, has a built-in fan for the Cooler, has a digital display that shows it's hot after it's turned off and stays on until it feels cool. This is our only burner and it is used at least 6 days a week and after 6 months of use it has overheated or something has cut the power. After a reboot I turned the unit back on and it started smoking and smelled like burnt rubber So I started again, turned it off, two days later I checked again, it was still working but it was smoking again so did it I did a little investigation, removed the base plate from the unit and found that one of the wires leading to the torch coil itself had melted. I'm not saying there is a problem with the company or the product as I liked it and will be buying a new oven. I know the problem is on my side. I had a power surge or an overloaded switch that caused the problem.
