Review on EIGIIS Ergonomic Trackball Handheld Wireless by Matthew Nielsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

BEAUTIFUL and that says it all.

Two years ago I went through a weird period buying stupid mice. And I bought a few of them. Does it work as intended? Yes, period. Proz: - Big size, nice to throw it in your suitcase, luggage, purse, whatever. Works the same as other 2.4GHz devices I've used so the somewhat short range doesn't work very well around corners, but I haven't found a device that uses this style of connection that works differently. VALUE, it's more the same. 15 feet line of sight. But if, like me, you plug it into your laptop and use it as a couch mouse to watch YouTube/Netflix/VID on your hard drive, your laptop's metal cover could affect its reliability. causes stuttering. CONS: -It's not ergonomic, maybe smaller hands will have better luck with it, or maybe bigger hands, but in the natural holding position of this mouse I find my thumb to get quite tired. I like the idea of it, but when you have to go through a long list, like when you're looking for something on a streaming site, you're going to get aching after a while. I think part of the problem is that you can't throw it, which means you can't snap your thumb and let the momentum get the ball spinning and rolling for you. The ball is too light for that. This makes it ideal for EXACT controls rather than wide controls. - There's no place to keep the key on this thing. Oddly enough, there is a square indentation with a sticker that might help having a magnet behind it so you can attach the USB dongle to the device when traveling. There is no way to store it in the battery compartment. WHAT stinks. Because if you have a lot of generic 2.4GHz dongle ds like me, you will find that this receiver looks identical to 90% of these generics. I colored mine with Sharpie Metallic Markers but still. annoying. Verdict: It's decent, but not great. More new than functional. I don't feel ripped off hence the average 3 out of 5 ratings. It's not feature rich enough for a 4, but it doesn't fail in anything it intends to do and claims no silly gimmicks other than ergonomics, which is a gimmick in itself.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some troubles
