I use them with seven BR-30 equivalent 65W LED headlights for main work lights and table lights. I know there are more compact and durable LED work lights out there, but I wanted something with a larger, softer source and something with a high CRI (color rendering index) so I could also use it for color critical applications while being easy on the eyes. Bulbs are the easy part, CREE now produces a range of CRI 90+ 6000K daylight bulbs that incorporate the BR-30 "Reflector Flow". Of course, the hardest part is installing a matching "bundle" of BR-30 bulbs. That's where this adapter comes to the rescue. It allows you to fit seven, well, whatever into one slot. It's strong enough that the BR-30 (or even the older, heavier, long-necked Sylvania PAR-30LN LEDs I still have) don't deform the shoulders. Mounting the adapter at a 90 degree angle will keep the bulbs at the 90 degree angle with no sagging or wobbling. And you can clamp the adapter's long "neck" for a strong attachment. I was so pleased that I ordered one more and then two more.
