A decent distance and on different floors of the house.

Easily connects to your stereo and connects with Bluetooth. I checked the spacing and placed the stereo on the ground floor and the speaker in the basement and the connection was perfect until I was 25-30 feet apart and on different floors. Ideal for connecting your vintage stereo to your Blue Tooth speakers to hear music in different parts of the house.
