Best Bird Carrier - Cages & Accessories

I originally bought one of those ugly carriers that are just bulky shoulder bags with mesh on the sides and a perch inside. I didn't like it at all, but it was the only bird carrier I could find that was easy to transport and didn't cost $200-300 like Celltei carriers. I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a Celltei carrier for my bird when I found this one. It looked great online and had good reviews so I ordered it. I was skeptical about the quality as it seemed too good to be true. My other searches for non-Celltei tote bags (which are outrageously overpriced, ok why is your tote bag over $200?) and the crappy tote bag I bought earlier turned up nothing, so imagine how skeptical I was , when I found her. However, when it arrived and I unpacked it, I was amazed. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy in any way. Unlike the ugly backpack I bought before, it looks good and isn't all that different from a regular backpack. It also has shoulder straps, which the ugly carrier didn't have; It only had a shoulder strap which made it too unstable to walk on and my poor bird shook when I tried to take it out for a walk in the park. I had to constantly hold it by the top handle which only spoiled the experience for me as it was very tiring. This carrier has a lot of portability. You can wear it as a backpack on your back, as a messenger bag over your shoulder, or simply by the top handle. Haven't tried it yet, but you could probably attach it to the front like a baby carrier if you feel more secure taking your bird out, if you can keep an eye on the carrier, or if you just want your bird to be closer to you. interact with. One thing I didn't know when ordering this bag is that it can be adjusted so you can attach your seat belt through the straps on the back, like in a child car seat. For this function, the hip belts can be attached with 2 additional buckles at the top. The supplied instructions explain this. I was happy when I discovered this supplement. I like taking bird seats with me, but I want to make sure it's safe when traveling. You can attach the shoulder harness to the headrest of one of your car seats and attach the seat belt through the straps on your back to keep your bird safe while driving. All zippers on the trunk are of high quality, not flimsy and will not break. . It will be very difficult for you to break any of these zippers. The clear plastic window on the front of the carrier is very flexible but doesn't seem to break easily. I love curtains that can be rolled up at the front and side if your bird needs some sleep or privacy when traveling. The water bottle attachment point is a great addition and the elastic straps for holding the bottle are very comfortable. My bird has a glass water bottle and I have absolutely no worries about him slipping out of the straps of this bag. The feeding bowl is also very tight and secure. I like the drip tray and the removable grate above it. It's very easy to clean. The included zip pocket is great for carrying groceries or recipes, while the side mesh pocket is ideal for treats. Outdoors, the carrier's metal openings are large enough that you can put treats through them without having to try to open the pouch a bit, risking your bird flying away. Another thing I didn't know when ordering is that the carrier comes with a bag to store the entire carrier which is really nice. If you don't use it often, the bag can protect it from dust and protect it from pests during storage. porters and perch. The material is smooth and very easy to wash. The drip tray slides in on one side and fits very well so you don't have to worry about the drip tray moving around. The ventilation mesh is of good quality. However, I would not recommend it for birds larger than a large kennel or for aggressive chewers. The grille isn't metal, so a determined bird could likely chew through it. You must supervise your bird in this carrier before taking it outside. My bird (green-cheeked kennel) doesn't chew very often, so I'm not worried about him chewing through the grate or plastic window and running away. However, this is one of my criticisms of this carrier; better with a metal or rigid plastic mesh. Whilst it is very unlikely that my bird will ever chew through it, I would feel even safer transporting him in it if the netting was made of a stronger material. My only other suggestion for this stretcher is that a toy hook inside would be great. to avoid excessive boredom of birds when traveling. You can find a way to hang most toys in it, especially as the carrier has 4 vents at the top, but a dedicated toy hanger would still be nice. Overall I love this carrier and am so glad I found it this way. I could potentially save $200 on a quality bird transporter. I even got compliments the first time I put my bird on it. His first trip in this stretcher was to an exotics vet for a check up and the vet said the stretcher was "really cool" and asked where I got it from. When I left the office, the woman at the register complimented me on how neat everything was. This is a really great carrier and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a smaller bird up to sun hut size. This is not enough for medium sized birds. However, I would not recommend it for very small birds like finches as they can easily climb out of the vents. I also recommend getting a 3M Vetrap and wrapping the perch in it so your bird can hold onto it and not slip off.
