Review on JACO ProtectPro Dog Seat Cover by Diana Johnson

Wanted please but doesn't fit my car 2006 Dodge Charger

I have a 2006 Dodge Charger. This suitcase doesn't fit in the car; too small. I like that the headrest straps don't stretch because my existing cover will stretch and they are fully stretched, but they aren't long enough to go around the rear headrests and stay in place. I put them on and fastened them around the rear headrest, but as soon as the dog climbed in, they came loose. The Charger has soft wedge shapes for the rear headrests. As a test, I attached the D-ring straps to the buckles behind the headrests to hold the cover up. No matter how I tried to attach the straps to the headrests, the inserts would not reach the folds of the seat to attach to the underside of the seat. It turns out that if I had a few inches more strap around the rear headrest, the cover just wouldn't be long/high enough to attach to the headrest and stuff things into the seat gusset. I proceeded and the straps fitted perfectly into the front headrests. That's 2 bars. Only the extreme rear position of the front seats did not allow the cover to be a real hammock. Since I can't drive with a seat like that, I made it comfortable about 3/4 of the way back and the dog slipped a bit with the blanket while driving. I opened it towards the front seat, otherwise the hammock effect would have been stronger. My current seat upholstery is leather and I left it on the leather seats but it didn't seem to help with the support at all. The side flaps did not cover the armrests. Either they're too short, or the whole sheath isn't long/wide enough for the "American Muscle". It seems possible for the seat cover to stay in place without the use of seat belts, unlike my current seat cover, which is a huge plus. Since I also travel with cats, I tried the "static test" and did not get any results by wiping the housing with a polyester cloth. Perhaps if this article were longer in a few places, it could make a great travel companion. My other car is a Miata so I didn't care if it would fit. (I know the cover is upside down in the picture. I flipped it in the hope that it would change the position somehow. The bottom strap in the picture is a tensioned webbing that attaches to a D-ring on the Seat anchor is fastened; restraint and I unbuckled the buckle completely and tried to put on the headrest strap.) I gave it 3 stars because the potential is 5 like other reviewers but the fit negates the ease of use of the product.
