The basket itself is good and looks good in the children's room, but I ended up returning it only because it was too narrow to fit in the cot I was looking for (to move around the house, not sleep!). I've seen influencers post photos of the sun lounger in a basket, so I'm guessing they're reshaping the basket somehow to make it fit. Look at the photos where he's being pressed to me, he's all flat and folded inside making him completely unsafe. Also, it's perfect for sleeping in the first few months, it's narrow so baby feels snug and tight, which usually does a good job of helping them sleep better. The foam mattress is 1 inch, not too hard and not too soft, but I would definitely recommend waterproof padding under the sheet. The "natural" color is slightly yellower than the product photos, see photos in this review. The wicker insert is soft and when the mattress topper is removed it leaves a tiny gap on the side. I've seen reviews mentioning bugs or random threads, what I got didn't have them.
