Very cool flashlight for underwater or general use, impressive

I was very impressed with this flashlight, not only is it small and light to take with you every day, it's also great in terms of its use very versatile you use it. Specifications say you can dive to depths of 150 meters and the output of 2,000 lumens is enough to illuminate the underwater world. The secret of its water resistance lies in the presence of double zero rings at every potential water entry point, on the head and on the back where the battery compartment is located. Also, they seem to have limited the places where water can get in. The lamp comes complete with instructions, battery, charger, spare O-rings, charging cable and extra long carrying strap. Everything is well packaged to avoid damage in transit. Another plus is the user interface - it's quite easy to use - the light comes on at the touch of a button. Subsequent clicks cycle through 4 levels of brightness. A long press turns it off. The advantage of this flashlight is that it can be used as a regular flashlight out of the water and 2000 lumens in turbo mode is enough for most needs. A few tests - I checked the light output (brightness) with a light meter and got results very close to the advertised 2000 lumens on the Turbo. I haven't tested the other modes, but to the naked eye they seem to match the specs. I also tested for water entry by putting it under both running water and bath water - no water entered the battery compartment, nor did I notice any condensation on the head glass. (Most other flashlights that claim to be waterproof aren't, and after going underwater condensation forms on the light emitter under the glass.) I also checked the temperature conditions and was surprised that such a small head did more than maintained maximum brightness for a minute. one and a half and was pretty cool compared to other flashlights with similar parameters. The head temperature did not rise above 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature controller only struck after 2 minutes in turbo mode and reduced the light output at this point to protect the light. Under water this is of course not a problem as it stays cool all the time. I expect the lower modes to be fairly stable over very long periods of time. I also like the beam profile - it has a well-defined, well-sized hot spot in the center that allows the light to reflect further and see further, and then it bleeds nicely into the corona and finishes with a nice overflow all around. I didn't notice any artefacts in the beam or unpleasant tints. So you have both a hotspot and an ambient light combo, which is my favorite way - you can walk around with it and illuminate everything around you, as well as far away detail with the central hotspot. Hotspot intensity - I measured 30,000 candelas! compared to the claimed 18917. This light shines further than the specs say. This means that the range is well over 300 meters instead of 270 meters according to the specification - a pleasant surprise. Now, of course, when the battery dies, the maximum output drops, so I wouldn't use the light in turbo mode all the time. At some point the turbo mode won't turn on like most other lights because the battery runs out, which is a normal phenomenon. Below are the pros and cons of this flashlight: Pros: Well shaped, small and light, feels good in your hand Can stand on its tail for hands-free operation Very waterproof with double and thick 0-rings at potential water entry points Can be used like a normal flashlight Head does not heat up too quickly for its size, easy to hold the flashlight with bare hands, does not overheat Provides sufficient time in turbo mode Comes with everything you need, well packaged, looks high quality Easy to use Operation without complicated unnecessary Modes Good beam profile and a balanced combination of flood and hotspot to see further Good light for everyday use Higher light intensity than specified Great price for a quality underwater light with kit! Easy to find in the dark as it sticks out Cons: Uses a 1-18650 battery that comes with light and easy to get another one when needed that's fine but if you use it on the turbo all the time it lasts it not for too long. As the voltage decreases the intensity of the light also decreases so the light is not stabilized but this is quite common even with much more expensive lights. I think the battery is ok, not bad but if you want there are others that last longer. The button is easy to find with your fingers in the dark as it sticks out, but it would be even cooler if it glowed, especially underwater to make it easier to find. All in all a flashlight of excellent quality, comfortable to carry, at a reasonable price for a dive light of this type, with all accessories, recommended!

  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
