Review on πŸš— TR Industries S-3/5 Granitize S-3 Auto Wash and Wax with Carnauba - 5 Gallon: Ultimate Car Care Solution for Long-lasting Shine by Pavel Craig

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent. Maybe up to 5 stars if I use it more.

I have several 'toys' from motorcycles to vans to sailboats to vintage cars to everyday cars. Do more wash and detailing than I care to admit. I went all in with a 5 gallon bucket based on the reviews. I use a professional product called Verry Berry (product name, yes, a very double p) and it's honestly the best of the best in terms of washing and rinsing (in terms of cleaning power and wet shine, that last). But this product gets more expensive every time I buy it again. I'm always looking for a cheaper replacement (and I've tried many products, both retail and professional). Retail level products (Maquires etc.) are vastly inferior to Verry Berry. I saw this product and thought I'd give it a try as the other reviews seem to come from people like me who have tried many products over the years and know what works and what doesn't (and enough to know the difference recognize). Nonetheless. I've only had the chance to wash my black Daily Driver once so far (it's winter. It's too cold to wash cars by hand). The cleaning power of this product (foam and cleaning power) is even superior to Verry Berry. This stuff cleans even better than harsh detergent (which is actually a good but harsh car cleaner). As mentioned, this product is extremely concentrated and only a small amount is needed. The shine of the product wasn't the best I've used. It was good. Actually very good, just not at the level of Verry Berry (but it's the gold standard for me when it comes to laundry/dishwashing liquid). But I have to be fair. When I washed my car it was only about 34 degrees outside and I suspect that the chemical action related to the product's water droplet/wet look function may have been dampened by the temperature. I think in warmer weather the water repellency/shiny property will be almost as good as Verry Berry. But with the price difference between the two products (Verry Berry is about 4 times more expensive) this product is a keeper and will replace Verry Berry for me. I highly recommend this product. 4.5 stars for now and could be up to 5 stars if I use it in warmer weather. I'll report as soon as it gets warmer again. I hope this helps you with your purchase decision. If yes, please vote for it. Updated 08/09/2017; I have been using this product for about 2 years now. I'm increasing my rating to 5 stars. I thought my first review was pretty accurate. Super concentrated (helps a bit), great lather, great cleaning power, very good wicking/shine, decent staying power depending on how long the shine lasts (hey, it's not a paste wax so don't think of it as a longevity type). Again. I've tried pretty much every retail product (from Mothers to Maquires to Turtle Wax etc) as well as many jobber products (for body shops and DIY). This is superior to all others I've tried. It works the same as Verry Berry, except for a slight reduction in the ability to shine. But Verry Berry hiked prices again. Now it's insanely expensive. While Verry Berry may be the gold standard for laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid, it's actually almost four times the price of this product and only slightly better in shine and no better in every other way. On to Granite. You will not be disappointed.
