1 year. So after almost 1 year this mattress is still great. Now I only want 12 inches. Otherwise, it still provides a great night's sleep. Below is my first set of reviews. The item arrived a day early which I was happy with because I didn't know how long it would take to expand. Although it took two UPS movers to haul it up, I hauled it myself! I opened both ends of the box after placing it on the box spring and pushing it out. I followed the opening instructions and turned on the ceiling fan to blow air through the room and expand the mattress. I unzipped the zipper, which I had to put a safety pin in because there was no pull tab, and unzipped it. Then I pulled back the covers to make sure air got to all four corners of the mattress. It expanded in less than an hour. The smell is a bit strong as my 4 year old is still in bed with me but she and I both slept like champions. I always had a lot of pain in my body after giving birth, even four years later. After reading many reviews I decided on this bed. I need something hard but soft. So it was obviously a good choice and when I searched it ended up under $200! It reached 10 inches fully and I felt my body relax after the first day. I'll come back and let you know if anything changes, but so far so good. updated. Day 3. I still smell the chemicals but my body feels much better. Update (Arrived December 10th) Updated December 26th. Hip, shoulder, back all feel great! I've always had to adjust my back and it hasn't happened since I got it! Firm yet flexible - just what someone with back or body pain needs and after 4-5 days max the smell is gone. Updated so I woke up after only 7 hours and was actually rested. Originally my old mattress was on a large bed frame with 2 double box springs. The humps on the wooden frames of the box spring beds started to bother me. So I bought a bunk bed. All bumps gone and another great sleep. Therefore, buy either an all-in-one spring block or a platform bed with a spring block without a platform.
