I often use a low heat smoker for 3-6 hours and this product is the perfect complement. I no longer have to lift the lid and "check the meat". This maintains heat, smoke levels, and consistent cooking. I can mow the lawn, watch a movie, etc., and I can check the meat every 10-15 minutes by looking at my remote. No more babysitting and the chef comes out perfect, no guessing! You want Medium Rare, right there! Highly recommend if you cook outdoors.
