Made a roast the other night and filled all the bee shells with different sauces and spices. They seemed perfect. People seem to think they're mixing bowls, but they're not. These are bowls for your cooking ingredients, just like you would use small Pyrex pudding cups. I like to bury their sizes with lids so I can keep the ingredients cool until I'm done and they're perfect. Wanted to soften the butter to make garlic paste in one of them but was afraid they might not be microwaveable as I'm not sure if they are melamine or plastic. But based on some of the answers to the questions, I think it would be perfectly safe to soften the butter in the microwave. I wouldn't cook with them.
