Received this cage yesterday and am happy with it so far. There are some pros and cons to consider before purchasing. Advantages: + Possibility of expansion. If you get this when your piglets are small and older, or if you add another addition to the family and find you need more space, you can buy another cage to expand without buying a whole new product must.+ Available. . This habitat is much cheaper than most other cages on the market. + Larger than almost any cage you'll find at a pet store, which leaves room for them to run and socialize at will. Cons: - The bottom is made of canvas which is not as durable or hard as other materials. It can bunch up on the sides, especially if you misaligned the Velcro straps. I doubted it would be strong enough when used on my carpet as opposed to a hard surface, but it seems to work fine as long as I tighten the straps. The sides are flat. So unless you plan on using fleece over pee pads, this can be a problem with guinea pigs scattering the bedding and their little brown magic beans all over your floor. - The horizontal bars are at an awkward height for a water bottle, giving you the option of having the drinker an inch off the floor or a few inches higher, but my piglets seem to be fine with the second option. - A bit flimsy but easy to fix by putting it in a corner like I did. - Not as big as it could be. This is perfect for a single guinea pig if your guinea pig is an aggressive male or if one of your pets has died. It also works well for a few growing guinea pigs. However, if you have two or more adult guinea pigs, a second cage would be ideal (but not required). It all depends on how spoiled your kids are. ; Overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this cage to anyone on a budget who wants their guinea pigs to be happy and healthy. <3
