Review on Spot Resist Stainless Moen 3942SRS Deck Mounted Kitchen Soap Dispenser with Refillable Above the Sink Bottle by Joseph Lang

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too expensive for what it is and not very design - see update

The only thing I can add to the description that is not repeated is that the soap bottle is a bit small for my taste, which means that it has to be refilled too quickly. I'm sure they made this slim design to fit under almost any sink design, but it seems like they could have given us a bit more volume in the bottle. If it fits your budget, chances are you'll be very happy with this dispenser. Update after months of use: One thing about this unit that frustrates me a lot now that we've had it for a couple of months is that the spout isn't long enough. It barely reaches the edge of the pool, despite being installed very close to that edge. On our previous unit (outside the house), where we also had a Moen unit with what appeared to be a short spout, the trajectory of the dispensed soap was at such an angle that it was aimed at the center of the sink. With this device, the trajectory is mostly straight down. So if you try to pour soap into a container that you hand wash that doesn't fit directly under the sink due to the sink rim, you won't get in. Instead, you end up with soap on the sink wall, which is utterly useless. I find this extremely frustrating as it's relatively easy to forget when you're concentrating on washing dishes rather than a design flaw in the appliance, and it wastes a lot of energy. Soap. For this reason I am deducting one star (up to 3 stars) from my rating as I hope to help those who are looking for the right solution and want to be honest with my experience. If you can't literally mount this right on the edge of the sink (no risk of breaking the countertop etc) or if this dilemma doesn't affect you/your use, I'll change my mind to NOT recommended. I hope this helps save others from the frustration we face in our unit. Due to the cost and labor required to replace it, and the fact that it actually looks nice, I haven't decided to replace it yet, but it probably will.
