My long-haired Chihuahua has grown into an old man who can no longer go on long hikes. He liked doing that when he was young. This backpack worked great for him. He loves being promoted and everyone I meet happily comments on his little face sticking out of his backpack. He's quite small (9 pounds) so I use a rolled up towel at the bottom to elevate him a bit so he can see him better. The only thing I have about the bag is that the small flap on the back (which is supposed to protect the back from the hard material at the bottom of the bag) would be too short. It would be better if it reached the bottom of the bag. I think they thought it was long enough to reach the bottom, but sometimes it goes up a bit and it can be uncomfortable with the bottom of the bag digging into your back. Other than that I still think it's a great product but an adjustment would make it perfect.
