Both my father and my girlfriend have the very same pair of headphones, and all three of them are experiencing the same issue: one of the earpieces is broken. Although it is possible that the wire will get leaky and start to hiss over time in some location along its length, this is not the case with these headphones. One of the "ears" plays at a very low volume for no apparent reason. There are no obvious signs of wear and tear (headphones less than 2 months old). Before that, I had also used Sony, but their products were more expensive. I had used them for more than a year with no issues. To anyone who is considering purchasing headphones, let me assure you that I do not suggest these. Because it is better to add a little rather than take something that is more expensive. My understanding is that Sony makes nice models, but anything priced below $700 is only available for a limited time. It is difficult to evaluate the sound; everyone has their own preferences, however I felt that there was a lack of bass.
