Great shampoo - not a good production and testing policy

One thing I always do before using any new shampoo is to check the PETA website to see if the company tests animals or not, and I was devastated to see that Garnier was owned by Proctor and Gamble. Although Proctor and Gamble issued a statement over twenty years ago that they did not test on animals, it was pointed out that this statement was based on misleading language and did not contain a truly unambiguous statement that they did not test. A good rule of thumb is that if a shampoo is not tested on animals it will state this very clearly on the outside of the bottle as many people are very interested in cruelty free products. Unfortunately, companies struggle with this. To my knowledge, none of the shampoos made by big companies or subsidiaries of big companies are cruelty-free products, which leads me to believe that this may be due to big insurance companies discouraging offering insurance when there are individuals. or class action lawsuits over shampoo reactions that could have been prevented through animal testing. But the truth is, at this point, we can learn little from injecting chemicals into the eyes of animals. And it's a shame that Proctor and Gamble insists on testing their products on animals. Garnier makes great shampoos. They smell great and I love how they feel on my hair. But I cannot endorse products based on cruelty. As much as I love Garnier Shampoo, I can't see myself using it until the company goes cruelty-free. Politics.
