The new Space Jam movie is upon us and new minifigures are on sale. While technology has improved to make characters more interesting for children, there can be improvements. Pros: There are four figures in this set - the one I received was Daffy Duck, LeBron James and a translucent pink Lola Bunny. The fourth figure is a bonus figure wrapped in an opaque black bag, the buyer does not know what you will receive. The action figures have a high recognition value for cartoon fans and NBA fans. Each figure is well painted and each comes standing with a basketball. Twenty-two figures to collect, so there's plenty to collect. Cons: So most of them are production/design related. First, I really wanted the back of the card to look like a basketball court. Second, I like that most figures have two holes in the bottom of the figure so they can be placed on a basketball stand. The only problem is that one of the two protrusions where the holes are located stands out. I feel like they could have just done an overhang so the character could render well. Finally, the packaging is really flimsy, but to make it easy for kids to crack this can also be a bonus. Pros and cons aside, this is already a great start for meeting new fans and introducing the characters in the film. Spring.
