Review on 550Lbs Adjustable Squat Rack Stand, Barbell Rack, Bench Press Home Gym Weight Rack Stand By BangTong&Li by Mike Kimball

Ergonomics is way off with rack

The racks that hold the barbell after performing a squat or incline bench press exercise is inadequate. It needs to be longer. Also the adjustability of the rack height is lacking, users should have been able to have the base height lower. Performing an incline bench press is extremely dangerous. I almost did serious damage to my shoulder doing an incline bench press. The bar height was too high and I was unable to adjust it lower. When re-racking the barbell, I was unable to, and it fell almost causing serious injury. It was a good thing I didnt use clamps on the barbell Only way around the deficiencies is to do squats facing the bar, that way you can see where the racks are to re-rack. For the incline press, you can prop up the bench to a higher height with some plates, which would make the exercise safer to perform. However, with that said, I would not recommend you purchase this item.Besides the deficiencies, the rack is sturdy and easy to assemble, but you get what you pay for.
